Astrid Colandra Williams was born April 28th 1974 to Donita Tarleton and Gus Williams in Sacramento,
CA. She was the oldest daughter of 8 children. She accepted Christ at an early age at Christ Holy
Sanctified Church under the leadership of Overseer James E. Williams Sr.
Astrid was a graduate of David Starr Jordan High School in Long Beach, CA. She continued her education
at Compton College and Sacramento City College majoring in Computer Science. Astrid was a member of
Christian Unity M.B.C. in Inglewood, CA under the leadership of Pastor Lois Moore Williams, and later
became a member of Praise and Compassion Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Sharon Harrison
until her illness prevented her from attending.
Astrid truly lived life to the fullest and enjoyed simple pleasures such as playing bingo, listening to music,
singing karaoke, eating, cooking, and spending time with her children and family.
Astrid leaves to cherish her memories her parents Donita Tarleton and Gus Williams. Her children Keon
Johnson, Brijae’ Young, and Rae’ja Crawford. Her sisters Debra (Debbie) Williams, Chanda Wade (Levi),
Cielauntra (CiCi) Williams. Her brothers Channing Williams Sr. (Audi), Darwin Williams (Kimberly), Tristan
Williams (Shannon), and Jason Williams (Janay), and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces, Cousins,
Family and Friends.
“We brought nothing in this world and its certain that we can carry nothing out. The Lord gave, and the
Lord hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord.” (1 Timothy 6; 7, Job 1: 21)
