Lee Edward was born in Tyler, Texas, the second oldest child from a sibling of 9 to parents Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Lee Bowie. He attended school in Tyler Texas until moving to California with his family and then proceeded to join the Air force in which he served for 4 years. Then he joined the team of being in hotel management at various locations in the bay area. Thereafter, he joined the Walmart family in Pleasanton California until retiring in 2004, which he enjoyed immensely. He resided in Castro Valley for several years until the death of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Lee Bowie which was also preceded in death with sister, Mrs. June Norman, his brother Mr. Jimmie Lee Bowie Jr. He leaves in the heartfelt memories of his sister Mrs. Margie Nelson, brother Mr. Roy Lee Bowie, brother Mr. Johnny Paul Bowie, sister Paulette Davis, brother, Mr. Lynston Bowie, sister, Joycelyn Inglemon, his 2 sons, Lee and Leonard Bowie, also preceded in death a daughter, Crystal Bowie. A host of nephews, nieces, grand-kids, great nieces and great nephews, who loved him dearly, to include a host of relatives and friends.
His passion was the “ponies” at the race track, he loved the fresh air and joined his brother Roy, and had very good luck. He also had a great love for the family pet name Shadow Bowie
