Leon accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Hamilton Temple, Church of God in Christ, in Stockton, CA under the leadership of the late Pastor Dad Hamilton. Later in life, he joined the former New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ and humbly received leadership from Pastor (now Bishop) Nathanial A.
