In Loving Memory of George Michael “Mike” Garcia Jr.

It is with profound sadness and immense love that we announce the passing of George Michael “Mike” Garcia Jr. who entered into eternal rest on May 18, 2026, at the age of 53.

Mike was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, cherished brother, uncle, brother-in-law, coworker, and friend. To those who knew him, he was so much more than a title—he was a steady presence, a helping hand, a trusted friend, and the kind of man whose love was shown through his actions every single day.

Mike’s greatest pride in life was his family, especially his daughters, whom he loved with all his heart. He spoke of them often and found tremendous joy in watching them grow and build lives of their own. He was also a proud grandfather who treasured the moments spent with his grandchildren and family.

Mike shared a beautiful life with his wife, Patsy, and daughter Mikeilah at their ranch in Delhi. The ranch wasn’t just where he lived—it was where he felt most at home. He loved the simple things: open skies, bonfires, hard work, caring for the property, and the peacefulness of country life. It was a place where family and friends gathered, memories were made, and laughter was never far away.

Anyone who knew Mike knew that if your car broke down, he would be the first person you called. He would inevitably give you a hard time about it first, often with a sarcastic or playful remark, but somehow he always showed up ready to help. Fixing cars wasn’t just something he did—it was one of the many ways he showed people he cared. His willingness to help others, even when it inconvenienced him, became one of the countless ways he expressed love.

Mike dedicated many years to his career at the Safeway Warehouse in Tracy and took great pride in his work, he was a proud Teamster at Local 439. He was hardworking, dependable, and respected by those who worked alongside him. After years of dedication and sacrifice, he was looking forward to retirement and the opportunity to spend more time enjoying the life he had worked so hard to build with his family.

One of the things people will remember most about Mike was his laugh. It was unmistakable—full, genuine, and contagious. It could fill a room and instantly make others smile. Whether sharing stories, teasing family members, or enjoying time with friends, his laughter became part of the soundtrack of so many cherished memories.

Mike had a way of making people feel welcome. He was loyal, generous, and fiercely protective of those he loved. He believed in showing up for people. Whether someone needed advice, a helping hand, or simply someone to listen, Mike was there.

As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life well lived. A life built on love, hard work, devotion to family, and countless acts of kindness that often went unnoticed but never unappreciated. We ask that Mike be remembered for the man he was—the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the legacy he leaves behind—by the truth of the life he lived and the character he demonstrated every day.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Mike’s love lives on in the family he cherished, the friends he stood by, and the countless memories that will continue to bring smiles through tears.

His chair may sit empty. His laugh may no longer echo across the way—But his spirit, his stories, and his love will remain with us forever.

Mike will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
