James Edward Allen Sr, born May 5, 1935, in Riverside, Alabama, was the beloved son of the late Marie Williams and the late Lonnie G. Allen.

 

James was united in marriage to the love of his life, Stella Allen, in 1957, and together they built a strong and loving family that spanned generations.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie Williams and Lonnie G. Allen,  his oldest daughter, Marian (Bucky) Allen, grandson Kaylon Jacks,  adopted son Charles Allen, and dogs Bear and Taylor.

 

James proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, and attended delta college for welding. He later dedicated 32 years of hard work as a baker at Ye Old Hoosier Inn, where he was known for his dedication and skill.

 

In 1968, James became a devoted member of Brother Davis Church, where he faithfully served and worshipped.

 

He was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing and camping, watching his favorite show General Hospital, and cheering on his favorite teams—the San Francisco 49ers and the San Francisco Giants. He enjoyed drinking classic Coca-Cola and had a playful spirit, often making his grandchildren laugh by taking out his dentures to scare them.

 

James leaves behind his loving wife, Stella Allen; his children, Yolanda Allen, James Edward Allen Jr., Altrina Allen and Latroy Taylor; his adopted children, Arsinio Allen, Lailani Allen, Katherine Allen, and his cat Boots;  his cherished grandchildren, Cynthia Allen, Jeremey Soria, Mercedes Garcia, Ebony Soria, and Celess Vargas.

 

He also leaves behind a legacy of love through his great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren, along with a host of other family members and loved ones who will cherish his memory.
