Louis Lee Akins

Louis was born December 6, 1958, in Lake Village, AR to John Akins and Carrie Dill. He was
preceded by both his parents, his brother Charlie Gaspon and his sister Jennie B. Akins. Louis
is survived by his three brothers and two sisters, John (Peaches) Akins, Morris Akins, Ernest
Akins, Daisy Jackson and Margaret Gaston

Louis moved to Oakland, CA where he met his wife Glenda Akins. Louis and Glenda were
married on May 12, 1985. They had five children, two god children and twelve grandchildren.
Louis is survived by his wife, all his children, god children and grandchildren. His children are
Louis Akins Jr, Latrisha Akins, Jeremy Akins, Deonte Akins and Latisha Akins. His god children
are Nick and Ray Jean Robinson. His grandchildren are Lania Akins, Louis Akins III, James
Matthews IV, Peyton Akins, Zavion Akins, Amira Akins, Jai Akins, Skai Akins, Haylee Akins,
Noah Akins, Ayden Akins, and Anthony Matthews. 

Louis was a skilled Tire Man for General Motors for more than twenty years. He was a jack of all
trades and can truly do anything he put his mine to.

Louis Akins, 61, died November 11, 2020, with his Wife and children by his side in Oakland,
California.Louis was a die hard 49ers fan who enjoyed watching the Sunday games with his sons. He was
a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his
grandchildren, barbecuing and playing dominos. Louis had countless nieces and nephews in
which he loved dearly. Louis also had a special relationship with his in-laws Charles and
Dorothy Levi.
