In Loving Memory of My Beloved Son, Nicholas A. Castro
It is with unimaginable sadness that I share the passing of my
beloved son, Nicholas A. Castro, who left this world on July 14,
2026, at the age of 36.
Nicholas was my precious son, my greatest blessing, and a
beautiful soul whose love, smile, and gentle spirit brought joy to
everyone who knew him. Though he faced the challenges of living
with a developmental disability, he taught all of us the true
meaning of unconditional love, courage, patience, and finding
happiness in life's simplest moments. He had a heart that knew
no limits and loved others without hesitation.
Nicholas attended the CVTC Adult Day Program in Stockton,
where he found friendship, purpose, and a community that cared
for him. He touched the lives of many through his kindness,
warmth, and genuine affection for those around him.
While our hearts are broken by his loss, we are forever grateful
for the years we shared with him and for the countless memories
he leaves behind. His love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will
remain with us always. Nicholas will be missed and forever loved
by his family, friends, caregivers, and all who had the privilege of
knowing him. One of the greatest joys of his life, was to take part
in the Special Olympics. For the past nine years, he played
basketball and counted down the days until each new season.
Seeing him on the court, smiling with his teammates, and giving
his best, filled our hearts with pride.
Anyone who knew Nicholas knew how much he loved food,
especially seafood. He would get mad when I would steal one
shrimp off his plate. He found joy in the little things, reminding all
of us to appreciate life’s simple blessings. Nicholas leaves behind
a family who loved him beyond words, His mother, Rosa Rivera,
His dad Salvador Rivera, His father Hermes Castro Sr, His
brothers, Jonathan Castro and his wife Elisabeth, Yussen Castro

and his wife, Jasmin, Miguel A. Castro and his wife, Cynthia,
Hermes Castro Jr and Azrael Castro His sister, Valerie Castro and
His cherished nieces Annabeth and Hannah. He was deeply
loved by his extended family, friends, and everyone whose lives
he touched.
As his mother, I will forever miss hearing your voice, seeing your
smile, and holding your hand. There is a place in my heart that
can never be filled because it belongs to you. I find comfort
knowing that your beautiful spirit is now at peace and that your
love will remain with us always. Thank you, Nicky, for every hug,
every laugh, every lesson, and every precious memory. You made
our family stronger simply by being yourself. We will carry your
love in our hearts for the rest of our lives until we meet again.
A celebration of life for Nicky will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026.

and you will be deeply missed every day of ours.
