Ronald Dale Dixon

On March 19, 2021, Ronald D. Dixon passed away in Stockton, California at the age of 81 years. Ronald was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. Ronald is survived by his children, Steven and Jack; his daughters-in-law, Jade and Beverly; his grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Andrew, Jessica, and Christine; and his sister, Jackie Oliver.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Mildred; his brother, Gene; and his wife, Nancy.   
  
Ronald was born on October 31, 1939 in Coalinga, California.  He graduated from Avenal High School in 1958. After graduating from high school, Ronald began working for PG&E.  He married Ann Davenport in 1959.  His son Steven was born in 1959 and Jack  w as born in 1960.  In 1965,  Ronald  moved to Stockton, California with his family. He worked for PG&E for three decades and settled well into retirement. When he was not working, he enjoyed sketching, painting, reading, and gardening.  
  
Ronald married Nancy in 1984 and they were happily married until her passing in 2009.  They enjoyed participating in shooting competitions, riding their motorcycles, and spending time with their family.    
 
A graveside burial ceremony  for Ronald is scheduled for Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Stockton Rural Cemetery located at 2350 Cemetery Lane in Stockton, California 95204. A memorial reception will be scheduled at a later date for close friends and loved ones. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
