TERESA GONZALEZ DE VILLALOBOS TRUJILLO

El sábado 29 de Diciembre de 2018, Teresa Villalobos, amada esposa, madre, abuela, y hermana falleció a la edad de 89 años. También conocida por sus nietos como Mama Tere, será recordada con amor por todos aquellos cuyas vidas toco, incluyendo a sus hijos, nietos, bisnietos y tataranietos.

On Saturday, December 29th, 2018, Teresa Villalobos, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister died at the age of 89. Also known to her grandchildren as, Mama Tere, she will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched including her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, January 4, at 12:00pm- 3:00pm, at Stockton Funeral Home. 640 N. California Street, Stockton CA 95202

Una Memoria:

De niña, viví para los besos de Mamá Tere. Recuerdo que una vez fui tímida al pedirle sus mil besos, lo que significaba que me besara mi abuelita por toda la cara. Quería una segunda ronda de esos lindos besos el mismo día, así que le pedí a mi madre que preguntara por mi. A pesar de la estatura de 4'11 de mi abuela, me intimidaba con su fuerza y ​​seguridad en sí misma. Era una mujer que sabía lo que valía, que estaba en sintonía con su fuerza y ​​resistencia. La vida la había probado más veces que la mayoría de nosotros, y la pérdida más difícil, la de mi abuelo, la dejó a cargo de 12 de sus 14 hijos. Mi abuela perseveró a pesar de las muchas pérdidas que sufrió. A esa edad no me había dado cuenta la cantidad de conflictos que mi abuela había experimentado en su vida, pero yo era muy consciente de su poder. Cuando mi madre le preguntó a mi Mama Tere si me podría dar esos mil besos que tanto quería por segunda vez, mi abuela me los dio fácilmente con mucho gusto y mucho amor. Unos días antes de su hospitalización, logré escabullirle un segundo beso en la mejilla el mismo día. Me reí de haberle colado un segundo beso que la hizo reír. Una risa nunca olvidada; Una sonrisa reflexiva de su alma siempre recordada.

A Memory:

As a child, I lived for Mama Tere's kisses. I remember one time being extra shy about asking her for her infamous thousand kisses, which meant getting grandmother kisses all over my face. I wanted a second round of them the same day so I asked my mother to ask on my behalf. Despite my grandmother's 4'11 stature, she intimidated me with her strength and self-assuredness She was a woman who knew her worth, who was in tune with her strength and resiliency. She had been tested by life more times than most of us, and the hardest loss, my grandfather's, which left her to care for 12 of the 14 children
